Bio: 

After serving in the army and jumping out of planes with the 82 nd Airborne Infantry, Mike Fontaine
continued to be drawn to his love of heights. He enjoyed cliff climbing, bungie jumping and anything
that offered that exhilaration he felt when he was “above it all”. When a friend asked him to try out sales
in his roofing company, he found he could marry his love for heights with his analytical aptitude and his
gift for gab. Mike managed the residential sales division for a local roofing company for over a dozen
years. Then, with no warning, the company decided to switch to strictly commercial work. On the day
they announced this, Mike called his wife Genny (a teacher at the time) and asked her to research how to
go about getting a Class A Contractors license. They were going into business! Thus, the inception of
Commonwealth Roofing & Siding.
Mike and Genny have insisted on running a business built on honesty and integrity, with a strict NO-
BULL policy. From the beginning, they’ve made it clear that their mission is to deliver forthright
estimates, quality products, warranted workmanship and unrivaled customer service. That mission is
alive today in their thriving business. To give back to their community, Mike and Genny generously
support local schools, sports clubs, and veterans’ groups of all kinds. Commonwealth Roofing & Siding
